Garry Woodall

Mr Garry Woodall
Gary, aged 64, died on 24th April 2009 after a long,
painful battle against cancer and is survived by his mother, sister,
brother, two daughters and nine grandchildren.
Forced into retirement from his building and building
management business by his illness (and 18 months of chemo-therapy), he
still found the energy to enjoy his motorcycling - I'm sure the folk on
the October 2008 Scottish Tour will remember his zest for living, his
enthusiasm and his sense of humour and fun. He will be very much missed
by his very many friends in the Welsh seaside village he had made his
home for over 30 years.
The cremation will take place at Gornalwood, Nr.
Brierly Hill in his birthplace in the Midlands on 6th May.
Garry, from all at the Sport Tourers MC, it was a pleasure to meet you in Scotland 2008, Geoff is quite right, if we hadn't known you were fighting such a battle, we would never have known, such was your inspiring outlook on life. RIP my friend, you will be missed. A thank you from Garry's family The
Scotland Tour 2008 DVD is one of the most treasured possessions the
family of the late Garry Woodall could have. Garry did this tour knowing
it would probably be his last chance to ride his prized ZX12 any distance
again. He was well looked after by you all, especially Geoff Homer
his "Biker Mate" and very good friend. He really
enjoyed this tour and looked so well, you would never have guessed he was
so poorly. He played his DVD many times and listened to the music
tracks often during the later stage of his illness, gaining much comfort
from this. So much so, two tracks were produced for the funeral
service. |
